The number of scholarship recipients in all sessions reaches 683 male and female students .. Ministry of Culture issues its decisions for the seventh batch in the Cultural Scholarship Program
The Ministry of Culture issued on the fourth of September the scholarship decisions for the seventh batch of scholarship recipients in the Cultural Scholarship Program, to join the previous batches in the program launched by the Ministry in December 2019 with the aim of developing specialized national cultural cadres in various creative cultural fields in the finest international universities, institutes and academies, and qualifying and training them in numbers that meet the increasing needs of the labor market, and achieve the ,als of the Saudi Vision 2030 in its cultural aspects.
With this batch, the number of students covered by the decisions issued by the Ministry during the current year reaches 211 male and female students, of whom 133 are female students and 78 are male students. The study stages for these students came as 123 undergraduate students, 83 master's students, and 5 doctoral students, while the specializations were distributed among: food science and technology, theater, music, heritage and archeology science, fashion design, libraries and museums, filmmaking, visual arts, literature and linguistics, architecture, culinary arts, and design.
The students will join the finest international educational institutions including: Culinary Arts Academy, School of the Art Institute of Chica,, Culinary Institute of America, University of the Arts London (UAL), Pratt Institute, Manchester School of Architecture, Virginia Commonwealth University, Australian National University, Indiana University Bloomington, University of Edinburgh, and Durham University.
As for the countries to which the students will travel to continue their educational attainment, the largest number came for the United States of America with 115 students, then the United Kingdom 56 students, Switzerland 20 students, Australia 10 students, and two students in each of Egypt and France, and one in each of Italy, Singapore and South Korea.
Thus all decisions taken by the Ministry since the start of the program reach 683 students, of whom 443 are female students and 240 are male students. The highest share was for the bachelor's stage with 384 students, followed by the master's stage with 291 students, then the doctoral stage with 8 students; to join a number of high-end educational institutions, which were distributed across various countries of the world. The largest number of them was in the United States of America with 277 students, then the United Kingdom 290 students, Switzerland 57 students, Australia 31, Egypt 9, France 6, and like them in Italy, Netherlands 3, and two students in South Korea.
The cultural scholarship program is considered the first of its kind in the history of the Kingdom in terms of its comprehensiveness, and the diversity of its specializations in cultural and artistic fields, in addition to the multiple advantages it provides to the scholarship recipient, including: bearing all study costs, financial guarantee, living expenses for the recipient and his companions, health care, travel tickets, as well as providing guidance programs focusing on following up with the recipient, and evaluating his academic progress.
