The rarest Quran in the world
The Quran was found in the south of the Arabian Peninsula and dates back to the third century AH. It is written on parchment in simple Kufic script and contains between its covers two-thirds of the Quran. There are missing pages from the beginning and end of the Quran that library experts call (saqt). The geometry of its letters is characterized by straightness and fluidity.
The Kufic Quran dates back to before the appearance of diacritical pointing and is written in simple Kufic script. It begins from verse 51 of Surah Al Imran and ends with the end of Surah "Abasa". The Quran contains two-thirds of the Holy Quran between its covers. There are colored dividers between the verses that were inserted in years subsequent to the era in which the Quran was written. The Quran was found in the south of the Arabian Peninsula.
The Quran requires special care in order to preserve it; the temperature of the place where it is kept should not exceed 22 degrees Celsius, and the humidity should not exceed 50%. It must be kept inside a special safe.
Because of the importance of the Quran from historical, scientific, and Islamic perspectives, Dr. Abdullah Al-Munaif, a lecturer in the Department of Archaeology at King Saud University, devoted himself to studying the Quran for three years. He revealed many pieces of information about the Quran despite encountering many challenges which he tried to overcome, one of which was the difficulty of determining the era in which the Quran was written. Dr. Abdullah Al-Munaif revealed the geometry of the Quran's letters and the regularity of the lines in a single page and the number of words in each line, which were characterized by straightness and fluidity, as the line starts from a single point that is parallel with all lines on the same page, in addition to each line containing seven words and the page containing seventeen lines.
Among other observations recorded by Dr. Abdullah Al-Munaif is the adoption of the word of Majesty (Allah) of a uniform shape in a distinct geometric way. The distance between the letter Alif and Lam in the word of Majesty was from three to four millimeters. This indicates the extreme precision of the Quran's scribe.
