The administration of the Alexandria International Theater Festival announced the participation of the Saudi theatrical performance "Moving Inhabitant" within the activities of the (12th) session of the festival, which takes place in the city of Alexandria during the period from September 23 to 29, under the patronage of the Egyptian Minister of Culture, Nevine El-Kilany.

The play "Moving Inhabitant," which is of the monodrama theatrical type, will be performed on September 26, within the list of international shows at the festival, which includes 20 theatrical shows for Arab and foreign countries.

It is noted that the play "Moving Inhabitant" participated in the 5th Cairo International Monodrama Days Festival, and the hero of the play, the artist Badr Al-Ghamdi, won the award for best acting. The play is written by Fahad Reda Al-Harthi, and directed by Ahmed Al-Ahmari, and presented by the Taif Theater Troupe, one of the most prominent theatrical groups in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Saudi critic Nayef Al-Baqami participates in the membership of the festival's jury alongside a number of academics and specialists in the art of theater.

The theatrical performances are held on the theaters of (Alexandria Library - Lycée El Horreya - Freedom Center for Creativity - Jesuit Cultural Center - Al-Anfoushi Culture Palace).

The festival administration chose the name of the late artist (Samir Ghanem) as the title for this session. The president of the festival, Ibrahim Al-Furn, said: The choice of Samir Ghanem came because he is an Egyptian artistic icon and presented theater since his early appearance until the last moments of his life, and he never stopped performing theater at all. We celebrate him this year because of what he provided to the theater and Egyptian and Arab art in general.

On the other hand, a group of technical workshops specialized in theater are held on the sidelines of the festival, as follows:

A workshop by the Spanish artist "Ricardo Rosato" entitled: From Story to Theater, and takes place at the Alexandria Library on September 24-25.

And the workshop of the Palestinian artist "Mohammad Al-Titi" entitled "Improvise Spontaneously" and takes place at the Jesuit Cultural Center on September 26-27-28, and the workshop of the Egyptian artist "Dr. Ahmed Barakat" entitled "Analysis of the Design Foundations of Scenography - International Shows" and takes place at the Al-Anfoushi Culture Palace on September 24-25, and the workshop of the Egyptian critic artist "A. Yusri Hassan" entitled "The Art of Writing a Critical Article" and takes place at the Al-Anfoushi Culture Palace on September 24-25-26.

And the workshop of the Egyptian artist "Nahla Morsi" entitled "The House of Composition and Drama - Theatrical Costumes" and takes place at the Alexandria Library on September 26-27.

And the workshop of the Egyptian director "Sameh Bassiouni" entitled "Theater Directing - For Practitioners" and takes place on the 28th at the Freedom Center for Creativity and on the 29th at the Al-Anfoushi Culture Palace.
