The storyteller and novelist Khalid Al-Yousef published his new book entitled: "Purity of White Clay - A Cultural Biography". The book was published by the Literary Club in the Hail region and the Dar Al-Mufradat in Riyadh (April 2021),. In the book, Khalid Al-Yousef narrates his personal and cultural biography since his birth in the Dukhna neighborhood of Riyadh, his early education, then his entry into the Scientific Institute in Riyadh. He narrates the social transformations that affected his cultural formation since the sixties and seventies, leading up to the first short story he published in Al Riyadh newspaper in 1979.

Al-Yousef began narrating chapters of his book first on his Facebook page, and they received distinguished echoes among Saudi writers and the cultural scene. In "Purity of White Clay", there are a large number of prominent social, educational and cultural figures. The book is a concentrated image of the Saudi cultural scene for more than 50 years.

Al-Yousef''s publications amount to 45 works between the short story, which was his early beginning with the world of narration, where a collection of short stories entitled: "Snippets of Violet Talk" was published in 1984, then: "Times of the Glass Dream" and "To You Some of My Sides" and "A Woman Who Doesn''t Sleep" and "Friends" and "The End - Smell of the Female" and "He Grabs Her Hand and Sings" and "It Happens That the Story Collects its Fragments". Then the novel, where he published: "Valleys of Al-Ibrizi" and "Women of Incense" and "Loneliness of the Day".

As for the other research and scientific side that Khalid Al-Yousef excelled in in the cultural life in the Kingdom, it is his bibliographic monitoring of Saudi literature in its various literary genres in story, novel and poetry, where he issued many bibliographic studies, guides and dictionaries of Saudi creativity, including: "Literature and Writers of Madinah: A Bibliographic Study and Bibliometric Analysis" and "Dictionary of Creativity in Saudi Arabia" in three parts, and "Anthology of the Short Story in Saudi Arabia", then finally: "Translation in Saudi Literature from and to Other Languages: A Historical Bibliographic Bibliometric Study" by the Cultural Literary Club in Jeddah.
