Panel Discussions for the Film Commission at the 79th Venice Film Festival

The Film Commission organized yesterday, September 4, a number of panel discussions on the sidelines of its participation in the 79th Venice Film Festival, with the aim of opening communication channels that contribute to enhancing the presence of Saudi filmmakers in international platforms, and discussing the future of the film industry in the Kingdom and the world.

The panel discussions included a special session for Saudi filmmakers with directors Mohamed Al-Salman, Tawfiq Al-Zaidi, and Mohamed Al-Atawi, actress Sarah Taibah, and director Nour Al-Amir, where their experiences in filmmaking, and their ambitions and aspirations in light of the Saudi Vision 2030 were discussed.

Another session was also held with the participation of Saudi female directors, and a panel discussion with Pascal Diot, and the head of the Venice Production Bridge, which is considered one of the main and successful forums for cinema, audio-visual production, and virtual reality professionals.

This comes within the interactive activities organized by the Film Commission within its participation in the 79th Venice Film Festival, and reviewing promising opportunities for the film sector in the Kingdom, and the incentives it provides to local and international filmmakers.
