The Arab Unified Catalog represents a qualitative leap in Arab library work, where the King Abdulaziz Public Library has successfully established the largest collaborative platform that brings together Arab intellectual output under a single digital framework. The project aims to standardize bibliographic description rules and provide a vast database that serves thousands of libraries and knowledge institutions around the world, reducing effort and cost in cataloging processes while achieving the highest level of knowledge integration across Arab countries.
In the field of scientific research, the project provides researchers and intellectuals with an intelligent access gateway to millions of records and resources, transforming scattered paper-based holdings into a well-organized digital knowledge asset that is easy to navigate. This achievement is not merely a database, but a sustainable cultural project that seeks to enhance the status of Arabic books in the global digital environment and bridge the technological gap in Arabic knowledge management in accordance with the latest international standards.
