About Us
The King Abdul-Aziz Public Library is a charity founded by King Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, on 27 March 1985 AD (5 Rajab 1405 AH), and opened by him on 27 February 1987 (10 Rajab 1408), to look after matters relating to the book and those who benefit from it.

Remote Beneficiary Service
This service enables researchers and library users to receive information support and access scholarly materials without visiting the library in person. Users may request digital copies of specific portions of knowledge resources—such as catalog records, selected chapters, or specific pages—which are delivered electronically to meet their research needs quickly and accurately, while ensuring full compliance with intellectual property regulations.
Library Affidavit
This service enables postgraduate students and researchers to obtain an official confirmation indicating the availability of books, references, and academic sources related to their proposed research topics within the collections of King Abdulaziz Public Library. This supports the accuracy of the research path and facilitates academic approval procedures.
Book Publication Service
This service allows authors and content creators to submit their scientific and literary works for publication in collaboration with King Abdulaziz Public Library, according to the approved publishing standards. Submitted works are referred to a specialized committee for evaluation to assess their scientific and cultural value. If the work passes the initial review stage, it is then sent to external specialized peer reviewers for a final decision (acceptance or rejection). If the work is approved, a contractual agreement is signed with the author to define all terms and protect both parties’ rights, including contract duration, number of copies, and financial compensation.
Publish Children's Book
This service is dedicated to receiving and reviewing children’s book manuscripts. Through it, the library aims to enrich Arabic children’s cultural content and support distinguished authors in this field.
Hall Booking Service
This service allows beneficiaries to select the hall that best suits their needs based on seating capacity and available facilities. Requests are submitted through the library's electronic portal using a streamlined process that ensures quick processing and accurate confirmation.
Group Visit Booking
This service enables school groups and other interested organizations to arrange visits in advance to the branches of King Abdulaziz Public Library, providing an opportunity to explore the library’s facilities, knowledge resources, and cultural programs.
Special collection service
This service provides a visit permission for private groups or a digital copy of one of its materials (documents - photos - maps)
Offer to Sell Collectibles
This service provides an offer to sell the beneficiary's collections(manuscript, specie,rare book ) to King Abdulaziz public library
Collectibles Collection
This service provides a digital copy of part of a research source requested by the beneficiary.
Collaborative Training
As part of its commitment to developing national talent, King Abdulaziz Public Library offers a Cooperative Training Program for students enrolled in accredited universities, colleges, and institutes within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This service is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical application by providing trainees with the opportunity to develop professional skills in a leading cultural and knowledge-based work environment.
Request an External Visit Service
The project aims to spread culture and knowledge among the community segments and raise awareness of the importance of reading and its benefits at all levels. The external visit service (organizing activities and events) provides a visit by library specialists to the facility and organizing a complete program suitable for the age group.
Mobile Learning Resources
The project aims to disseminate culture and knowledge across various segments of society, raise awareness about the importance of reading, and highlight its benefits at all levels. This service enables entities to request a visit from the mobile library.
Cultural Projects
King Abdulaziz Public Library’s cultural projects preserve Saudi heritage and foster global cultural exchange through translation, restoration, and educational initiatives. These efforts promote knowledge, creativity, and dialogue across civilizations.

The Encyclopaedia of Saudi Arabia for Children and Young People
The Encyclopaedia of Saudi Arabia for Children and Young People aims to provide an integrated knowledge source for children of between 9 and 15 years old by providing reliable documented information about the Kingdom's history, present, monuments and historical sites, the customs and traditions of Saudi society, the development of the cultural movement, geographical characteristics, service programmes, economic development projects, tourism assets, and the wildlife of all the Kingdom's nine regions.
