The King Abdulaziz Public Library makes its open data available to everyone through a dedicated portal , which includes various types of data in multiple technical formats, making it easier to process, reuse, and share. This initiative aims to promote the principles of transparency and encourage electronic participation.
Through its pioneering Arab Unified Catalog project, the Library has contributed to providing a comprehensive database that catalogs published Arab intellectual output. The database includes complete bibliographic records for book collections held by Arab libraries. This project has helped standardize bibliographic data, facilitate the exchange of catalog records among libraries, improve the efficiency of technical operations, and eliminate the need to catalog the same book repeatedly across different institutions.
