Specialized Automated Search

Service Description:

Believing that access to accurate information is the foundation of successful academic research, King Abdulaziz Public Library goes beyond providing automated catalogs to offer a “Specialized Automated Search” service. This service is designed to support researchers and users in navigating local and global databases to ensure access to the most precise and relevant results that meet their knowledge needs.

The Specialized Search Journey (How We Support You)

This service is based on an interactive methodology between the beneficiary and the library information specialist, and it goes through the following stages:

1. Reference Interview: A discussion session to accurately understand your research needs before starting the search process.
2. Search Strategy Development: Identifying key concepts, selecting precise terminology, and determining the most suitable databases for your topic.
3. Execution and Evaluation: Running the search process and evaluating the quality of retrieved results and their relevance to your expectations.
4. Result Delivery: Presenting the final results to the user and providing a saved copy for future reference.
