Green Tones.. in the works of artist Etidal Atiwi

What if.. the universe became green in the homeland that is witnessing its spring today and wears its green robe in the paths and outlets, doors and windows. Green covers the page of the scenes and fills my being. How can I not celebrate it and rejoice when it is the color of life? I take pride in it and play. Do you know my green secret? So measure the scenes with your vision whose colors have multiplied and leave me my tune and my song before life plays with us and mocks. The blood of love flows in your green branch. I do not know how the tune went mixed with my emotion as I watch the paintings of the veteran Saudi creative Dr. Artist Etidal Atiwi. The green prevailing on the spaces of whiteness draws a green morning, and delights the soul that awaits the coming spring, and makes the noise of life less loud. The color green has a significance of growth at the level of the methodology of natural sciences and their development. Here on the page of spaces in the (Green Tones Exhibition), it reflects on the spirit of the artist who through the uniqueness of color, the uniqueness of the flag and the uniqueness of the homeland (Saudi green), this is what the name of the color is called in the world of designs.

From the first observation, the exhibition was characterized by the unity of spaces in which the square shape dominated as the most present than other spaces, where the sides are balanced and the directions unite through which the angles of vision multiply. Were it not for the intervention of the artist by placing her signature, we would have said that the paintings are the orbit of this green universe for the green dream.

Short and brief words, but the scenes flow inside me like a river of emotions that do not calm down when you delve deeper into the paintings of any exhibition after your first look and return again for a visit away from the bustle of the opening. You watch the artist's messages at a deeper level. Therefore, the painting of the target (Painting 1), included in the exhibition of the artist Atiwi expresses another meaning for you other than the familiar. The painting, the symbol of shooting or famous for the target, we know that it carries multiple colors with the proportions of achieving that target or outside it, and perhaps it carries one color but also graded, i.e., reaching the target achieves for it graphical levels from number ten and up to a hundred. But the message of the painting here wants to ease the burden and lift the blame from some who did not reach the point of climax that merely touching the target is reaching the target. The evidence here is that the degree of color is one, which is a new meaning credited to the artist in the depth of human experiences that tremble from the failure to reach a al for which they have set an assessment that may turn into a screen preventing re-entry into the experience. Perhaps there was another intention for visual deception around the circle of content between your eyes, an interpretation that accepts diversity and difference here when the circle of the soul coexists separately or connected with the group of circles in a path of paths that carries only soft curves without those intersections and sharp angles. You find the smoothness of the path as blood between veins and arteries avoids collision (Painting 2). As if summoned, and here also a view from a height of the city in which buildings were adjacent and crowded until details of privacy disappeared from them, for which the arrow of description is determined by the location of the site which has no existence here. If the matter is so within crowded cities and there is no way to resolve the space for spots of green gardens.. let the roofs of our houses and the remaining spaces of details breathe the natural living environment.. and summon the life that almost disappeared from the description scene of the map (Painting 3). How do you expect the features of the image when the perceptions of the scene rejoice inside you, and the details of the inside are immersed in your soul as a branch, a head, tree branches and birds rebuilding their nests? And what are your feelings when you have multiple readings and do not stop at the boundaries of external lines? You grant your soul the pleasure of visions for the reflections of the soul.. you see it today as a nose and a head and you see it tomorrow as a garden and a playground (Painting 4). The painting here with the artist Etidal gives you the beauty of interpretation, rather it is also a revealer of your psychological reflection, whether healthy or ill, in front of a painting for which you put the description and details.

The buds are from us.. (Painting 5) from the same plant needs a strong trunk to lean on to emerge into life.. Not all buds, as some think, are insects climbing our branches or feeding from our stalks, but they are weak creatures protected by those who clung to the ground and grew and flourished.. That image is not seen by the ill of soul and spirit. And because the artist Etidal is originally a psychologist, she pumps her ideas as a measure for cases that do not reveal themselves except in front of astonishment. The recipient may see the density of trees as a forest in the scene there (Painting 6) where his thinking depicts for him perhaps an attempt to hide and take refuge in the middle of that numerical density. Here in this work (Painting 7) there is another important role in symbols and coding in the forms of writing, ancient and modern, or symbolic recording like the brand (wasm), and this overlap which resembles the bustle of movement, speech, the sounds of vehicles and advertisements in major capitals. Perhaps the painting here seeks to resolve that entanglement and this overcrowding.

The exhibition needs many details of structural deconstruction of ideas from many aspects in color mixing and diversity and moving the paintings from one place to another and asking many questions that revolve in the mind of the recipient for the first time and a motive of motives of checking the ability to perceive and the concept of visual culture. Perhaps the last painting (Painting 8) in this axis I see from multiple angles with the feature of the growth site of palm fronds in the head of palms with that density or as if it is the green flood slipping into the valley from all sides. The exhibition indeed provokes the feeling towards the philosophical interpretation of this choice in color, shape and subject. An achievement that deserves following up.
