Through an article and a photo between 1905 and 1940 .. from the history of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Al-Hilal magazine before and after the founding

Al-Hilal magazine, and other Arab magazines that were being published in the first half of the twentieth century AD, covered a bright side of Saudi history before the establishment of the Kingdom on September 23, 1932 AD and after the establishment, which is a history full of national, social, educational and religious events, mentioned in articles, news and studies in these magazines, which represent important documents for monitoring the transformations and building of the third Saudi state at the hand of the founding King Abdulaziz Al Saud – may d rest his soul –

Among the ancient Arab magazines that covered some of the Kingdom's news before and after the founding is (Al-Hilal) magazine, as Al-Hilal magazine, the first issue of which was published on September 1, 1892 AD, is considered the first Arab monthly cultural magazine, and it is still published today by Dar Al-Hilal in Cairo.

The first issue was published under the editorship of the Lebanese writer and historian residing in Egypt at that time Jurji Zaydan, 10 Jumada al-Thani 1278 AH / 14 December 1861AD - 27 Sha'ban 1332 AH / 21 July 1914AD

It is one of the first and most important literary and cultural magazines in the Arab world. It included a large, bright side of Arabic literature in its various stages and artistic and expressive elements, while it embraced a distinctive side of history, culture and sciences through the articles and studies written by major writers and scientists in different stages of the modern era.

In the eighth issue published in June 1905 AD, an article was published in the News and Views section, page 303, entitled: "The Extinguishing of the Najd Sedition and the Stabilization of the Matter in the House of Saud" and in it are indications that seditions and intrigues were distorting the image of the beginnings of the formation of the Kingdom and its launch from Najd, and that most of them were slanders and not facts "Sheikh Abdulrahman Al-Faisal and his son Abdulaziz Al Saud know nothing but their country and their authority ... and they do not care about the tinkering of the tinkerers nor the intrigues of the corrupters" and the magazine publishes in the same article what came "from the copies of the messages sent by Field Marshal Ahmed Faidi Pasha to the people of Najd"

Among the most prominent references published in Al-Hilal magazine during the phase of founding the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and during the phase of the founding King Abdulaziz Al Saud (may d rest his soul) is this rare reference that confirms the Saudi army's celebration of its king and the founder of the state, as Al-Hilal magazine published a rare photo of King Abdulaziz riding his horse and reviewing some battalions of the Saudi army in the issue published in December 1940.

It was written under the photo: "The progress of the army of the Saudi Kingdom increases day after day, as it has finally begun to use modern weapons, and included a large number of cars, and began to pay attention to aviation affairs under the supervision of His Majesty the King (Ibn Saud) whom you see in this photo riding his horse reviewing some platoons of his army of camel riders and car riders, and the speech also refers to another photo written next to it: "Some Saudi soldiers who wear the headband (agal) over European clothes."
