In his book "The History of Arabic Language Study in Europe", the Austrian orientalist and linguist Josef Gera succeeded in filling part of the void resulting from the small number of those who researched and wrote about the history of Europeans' interest in studying the Arabic language, and the scarcity of those who explained the work of orientalists, because of whom minds in Europe were enlightened, and the benefit of learning the Arabic language, its beautiful literature, and its abundant sciences spread.
