Picturesque paintings on the geography of sand .. The Kingdom's desert is an artistic exhibition planned by the genius of rain

It has been a permanent embrace since pre-eternity between the winds and sands on one hand, and the clouds and rain on the other, in order to form picturesque natural paintings on the land of the Arabian Peninsula, and in the Kingdom's vast deserts.

These natural paintings are drawn by the winds on the sands first, and that was mentioned in the depiction of this wonderful artistic scene by the poet Imru' al-Qais in Tuwadah and Al-Miqrat, which are two sites in the desert of the Arabian Peninsula when he says:

Tuwadah and Al-Miqrat, their drawing hasn't disappeared

For what was woven from South and North winds

The wind blows from the south sometimes covering Tuwadah and Al-Miqrat, then blows from the north at other times revealing them, so they remain visible to the eyes in a permanent artistic dialectic. And when it rains in summer or winter, the features change and the sand paintings form into multiple shapes.

These natural paintings attract citizens, families and households to see them, especially in the winter and spring seasons, and also attract photographers to capture them before they disappear due to the heat of the summer.

Elegant Paintings:

The natural paintings vary with the variety of geographic locations in the Kingdom and among the sands, dunes and heights. In winter, paintings of extended scenes appear due to floods or salt flats that resemble frost and snow, and they entice professional photographers to take pictures of them. There is already a large number of Saudi photographers who love desert photography like: Tariq Al-Mutlaq, Majed Al-Atiq, Sayyaf Muhammad Al-Shahrani, Ahmed Al-Qassim and others, which indicates the existence of a special photography art we can call: desert formation art.

The Kingdom's terrain varies due to its vast area, and differs from Najran and Jazan to Asir and Mecca then north to Tabuk, Hail and Al-Jouf, then the Eastern Region and Riyadh region, which leads to a variety of shapes and sand drawings. Salt flats are scattered on the coasts of the Red Sea and the Gulf, and internal salt flats are found in the Northern Region, Al-Qassim, the Empty Quarter and other regions. Given this diversity, we are before an artistic exhibition of paintings that doesn't stop promising new ones.

Shuaib Al-Hasaki is considered one of the most important sites visited by trips enthusiasts for the existence of Talh trees. The photographer documents the running water tongue across the winding shuaib.

Al-Hasaki is famous among trip enthusiasts in summer and winter, and it is a destination for many trips, and famous for different plants in the rainy seasons.

As for Al-Kasr and Al-Sabulah lakes, they are two important sites for desert trip enthusiasts in Zilfi vernorate. The water gathers in Al-Kasr lake, which extends in the middle of the lden sands.

While Rawdat Al-Sabulah is one of the important meadows in rainy seasons, which has been protected by a fence preventing cars from entering to prevent desertification of the meadow, parts of which the residents are used to using in rain agriculture.

The Kingdom always witnesses these paintings with the falling rain, which may call for the formation of a new tourist pattern in an open artistic exhibition.
