The Ministry of Culture announced today the selection of the sisterly Republic of Tunisia as guest of honor for the next session of the Riyadh International Book Fair 2022, which will be held during the period from September 29 to October 8 in Riyadh Front, organized and supervised by the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission .

The choice of Tunisia comes in the context of the brotherly relations that unite the Saudi and Tunisian brotherly peoples, and within the framework of the joint efforts of the two countries to enhance cooperation in the cultural field .

The fair, which has occupied a prominent place in Arab book fairs, represents a cultural window that brings together literature, publishing and translation makers from local and international institutions and companies with readers and those interested, in addition to what it provides through its cultural program of qualitative cultural events, dialogue platforms, interactive lectures, and workshops covering various cultural and artistic fields, as well as its role in developing the community's reading habits and skills, and increasing cognitive, cultural, literary and artistic awareness; This is through motivating individuals to visit book fairs to learn and acquire, and attend cultural events accompanying the fair.

The Riyadh International Book Fair 2022 comes within the "Book Fairs" initiative implemented by the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission. The next session is the second edition of the international fair after the transfer of book fair specializations to the Commission. The "Fair" in its previous session saw the participation of more than 1,000 publishing houses belonging to about 28 countries.
