Aims to highlight the historical and cultural legacy of the Kingdom.. The Royal Commission for AlUla signs an agreement with the Louvre Museum in Paris

The Royal Commission for AlUla announced the signing of an agreement with the "Louvre" Museum in the French capital, Paris, which includes the display of a statue dating back to the Lihyanite period. The statue will be displayed in the "Louvre" under a five-year cooperation agreement, highlighting the historical and cultural legacy of the Kingdom in general and AlUla ,vernorate in particular. It also embodies the effective partnership on the cultural level between the Kingdom and France, and the enhancement of communication bridges.

The statue consists of sandstone weighing more than 800 kg and exceeding two meters in length. It has been affected by erosion across different eras, while archaeological mission work continues according to the AlUla strategy, which emphasizes highlighting historical sites and human civilizations.

The statue shows details of human creativity in sculpture, as it contains precise details of the carved formation, which is classified as one of the advantages of the "Lihyanite" school of sculpture with inspiration from spatial artistic influences. The statue also provides a picture of the depth of the historical and cultural heritage of antiquities in the ,vernorate, and the ambitious work of the Royal Commission through balanced work between preserving and protecting natural and cultural heritage to prepare AlUla to welcome visitors from all over the world.

The excavation team is working in the Kingdom of "Dadan" to explore more information about its cultural history, which spanned more than 2,500 years and was subject to the rule of the Lihyan civilization for several centuries. AlUla remains today one of the most important historical discovery sites due to the antiquities it contains.

The Royal Commission for AlUla seeks to highlight and preserve historical heritage, and to transfer and analyze archaeological pieces and their contents to formulate an attractive scientific story for visitors and residents. The Commission enhances this role through what it announced in the "Journey Through Time" plan to establish the "Kingdoms Institute," which will be established in the "Dadan" area and its urban design will be inspired by the Dadanite civilization, to be one of the most prominent buildings carved into the mountains opposite the archaeological site.

The institute includes seven basic archaeological programs and research, most notably: preservation of rock art, inscriptions and languages, agriculture and sustainability in prehistoric times, communication and archaeological records, monitoring and maintaining the safety of archaeological sites, and management of archaeological sites and elements.
