One of the most prominent natural traditional plastic arts for which the Asir region is famous is an art called: "Al-Qatt Al-Asiri" or engraving or Al-Zayyan. It is an abstract plastic art because of the symbols, colors, and spontaneous geometric method in design, carried out by Saudi women in order to decorate their homes from the inside, and decorate the rooms and their walls. In this art, many lines and drawings are formed, each with its own term, and they are colored in a number of main colors such as: black, blue, red, yellow, and green. Due to the brilliance and excellence of this feminine art, it has been included in the UNESCO list of intangible heritage since December 9, 2017.
