Riyadh Hosts the Global Village Festival on October 27


The capital Riyadh will host on the twenty-seventh of October, for two weeks, the Global Village Festival, which brings world civilizations together in one place in an atmosphere of tolerance and peace, in the Shows Arena at the Eastern Ring Road in Riyadh.


The CEO of Mulhimat Al-Sharq Group for Exhibitions and Conferences, Rima Al-Ruwaissan, explained that the festival visitor will enjoy an exceptional experience in a trip full of suspense and passion across time and unforgettable moments, in which ancient countries participate with their famous landmarks, wonderful markets, folklore, songs, cafes, and restaurants serving the most delicious international cuisines.


She added, "The visitor begins his journey from the Saudi street in a tourist and historical trip and temporal paradoxes between past and present passing through the Kingdom's regions. The visitor will see old Najd, Al-Thumairi Gate, Al-Maibrah market, the first ones' wedding, and the women's, ,ld, and silver market. The festival will be accompanied by the Homeland and History exhibition displaying the most prominent achievements of the Kingdom's kings."


Rima Al-Ruwaissan revealed that the festival combines cultural diplomacy and entertainment diplomacy, including the Italian, French, and African streets with their civilizations and cultures rich in heritage, noting that the festival also includes the old town in Andalusia, the council of the Andalusian Princess Wallada bint al-Mustakfi and Ibn Zaydun, the square of male and female scientists, Ziryab's kitchen, and a wonderful experience to taste Andalusian sweets.


Al-Ruwaissan pointed out that the festival includes anime and manga shows, a digital games arena, ice cream, chocolate, and flower stalls, in addition to original music nights. She stated that the festival is accompanied by the Riyadh Valley event, the Future Gate, under the patronage of the "Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development," led by a group of leading ministries including the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, King Abdulaziz and his Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity, King Faisal Prize, King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives, and King Fahd National Library, where they present their message toward the nation and citizen.


Rima Al-Ruwaissan concluded that the festival has allocated a charitable street named Mulhimat Al-Khair, bringing together charities, entrepreneurs, and productive families, keeping pace with Vision 2030 strategies for empowering women and investing in the nation's youth, satisfying the passion of festival visitors.
