Saudi poet Mohammed Khidr recently issued a second edition of his collection: "Since the First Apple" from Kalimat Publishing and Distribution. The first edition was issued in 2013..

This edition included a number of texts, in which the poet es on to investigate memory, experiment and enter multiple spaces. At one time he chants for freedom the butterfly poem, and at another time with nostalgia and memories in the image of the family he approaches people with his camera and captures many images of their sorrows, fates and questions..

We read on the back cover a number of quotes previously written about the texts of this collection. The writer Amr Al-Amri says: "In ''Since the First Apple'', simple poems that we almost think we can all write, but as soon as we approach them, they are the difficult easy. Mohammed in his poetry here and in his previous collections is concerned with human beings and human beings only.. the simple human being whom life almost robs of everything, even his humanity.. and the soldiers of darkness try to rob the rest of life."..

Critic Saeed Bou Karami says: "Mohammed Khidr writes in ''Since the First Apple'' poetry about a life escaping from between the vulvas of time and runaway from the constraints of postponed questions. Mohammed Khidr''s poem does not shift from the track of the prose poem that probes the self to the marrow and the senses until burning, then manifests itself in its creative brilliance and existential anxiety as a poem about a butterfly or an apple.".

Dr. Mastoura Al-Arabi writes: "Here the wounds have grown." This is the metaphorical phrase with which he ended his collection as a semantic rhetorical voice, capturing the recipient between the apple and the wounds, in the form of a story whose scenes are interspersed with the arduous search for existence and the accumulation of forgetfulness and absence: so where are we humans from existence and from freedom since the first apple?!!

It is mentioned that Mohammed Khidr has issued a number of books and poetry collections, including: (Temporarily Under a Cloud), (A Box Less Than Loss), (Walking with Half Happiness), (Exactly as I Thought), (Heaven is Not Everywhere), (Since the First Apple), in addition to his books: (Updating Data) (Articles) and Lest Forgetfulness Notices - Selections of his poems, (Returning My Head to its Natural Place), (Developing), and Selections of Saudi Prose Poems).

He also issued a collection " Absolument comme je croyais translated into French by Librairie bookelis, translated by  Houda gander

And a joint work with the artist Maryam Bu Khamseen under the title (Theory of Everything) in 2017-Art Book
