The Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Award for Cultural Cooperation is a cultural award that aims to strengthen cultural and civilizational ties between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the People's Republic of China. It promotes awareness of the Kingdom, its culture, and its achievements within Chinese cultural and public circles, while fostering communication between the peoples of both countries in the cultural sector. The award also highlights Saudi Vision 2030 and the shared objectives between it and China's Belt and Road Initiative.
Organizationally, the award is affiliated with the Ministry of Culture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and is supervised by the King Abdulaziz Public Library. It is governed by a Board of Trustees chaired by the Minister of Culture and is managed by a General Secretariat. The award is presented annually in four categories: Cultural Research and Studies, Artistic and Creative Works, Translation between Arabic and Chinese, and the Cultural Personality of the Year from both countries.
