King Abdulaziz Public Library Launches "AI Generation" Summer Camp

King Abdulaziz Public Library, represented by the General Administration for Children, has launched the “AI Generation” Summer Camp, a pioneering initiative aimed at developing the skills of children, adolescents, and young people in the fields of technology, artificial intelligence, and innovation through an educational experience that combines technical, cultural, and recreational aspects.

The camp targets the age group of 9 to 15 years and offers an integrated program extending over eight training days, from July 12 to August 5, 2026, at a rate of two days per week. Participants will learn the basics of robotics, programming, game design, and 3D printing, in addition to cultural and recreational activities that enhance creative thinking, teamwork, leadership, and communication skills.

Sundus Al-Sharif, Director of the General Administration for Children at King Abdulaziz Public Library, confirmed that the camp comes as part of the Administration’s commitment to providing high-quality programs that align with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and contribute to preparing a generation equipped with future skills through an interactive learning environment based on practical application, while fostering a spirit of innovation and discovery among children and adolescents.

She added that the program is not limited to teaching technical skills, but also focuses on character building, enhancing self-confidence, and developing presentation and critical thinking skills, thereby providing an integrated educational experience that enriches participants both intellectually and skill-wise.

It is worth noting that King Abdulaziz Public Library offers a variety of programs for children and young people, including skills and artistic talent development, reading programs, introducing children to handicrafts through dedicated workshops, developing drawing skills and improving handwriting, presenting children’s theatrical performances, as well as providing continuously renewed high-quality stories and books that promote children’s cultural awareness.
